Just got in 2 3000+'s NC today from ZZF, and the one chip I tried is really bad. :(

My other 3000+, 2 2800+'s, and the 2 Sempron 3100's I've tried have all done 2.4 ghz usually on stock cooling with no more than 1.6-1.65 vcore.

I popped this bad boy in....won't even do 2400 mhz even at 1.7 vcore w/ a Zalman 7000. On top of that, it can't even run 2200 mhz without 1.6 volts. I seriously think this is the worst A64 I've ever received, and it is definitely the first NC not to reach 2.4 ghz.

I wonder what gives. Maybe AMD's been speed-binning as they phase out the 754 socket? Did I just get extremely unlucky? Anybody else have a similar experience?

I think I may just sell em both off. :(

LOL I know....

They are both AX boxed. The one I tested is going in a new computer for the parents, so its OC'ing ability really isn't that big of a concern. :)

The other one was for my brother with the 3200+ CG Claw that won't even do 2.2 stable. I didn't even open the second one because they look to be from the same batch. It's already up for sale.

I've been through so many chips in the past month or two. If only I could find a setup that I'm happy with...or maybe I'm just addicted. :D

2800AX/3100sempy is where it's at. Even if you only get 2300mhz that's still a 500Mhz OC.;) and 131 or 101 bucks:D

My 2800+ is having trouble doing more than 2100MHz at 1.55V. Higher voltage doesn't help.

Yeah I've been very please with the Sempy. Too bad they jacked up the price right after I bought it. :(

I'm gonna go ahead and pick up another one from Shim if he still has it. :D

it's yours!

$95. check your PM.

I actually got this chip before they jacked up the price to $131 or so.

but man.. your addiction sounds almost as bad as mine from the 1700+ JIUHB tbred days... :)

i wish i could afford getting more 3000+'s but they are still butt expensive for me compared to the socket A processors...
