Just put together new AMD system, please help with software setup.

I'm new to AMD. I just put together an Athlon 950 on an Epox 8K7A with a Radeon 32meg DDR and loaded Windows 2000 Server.

What drivers do I need... like the 4 in 1 or whatever or those AMD AGP Miniport driver I hear about. Do I need those and where can I get the best most stable ver.?

Someone please help me get this system running right, I don't want to do trial and error, I want it setup correctly from the get go. Thanks!

imho, there is no alternative to trial and error, you're bound to have to test out stuff.

What I mean is, on driver versions and those things. First of all as a new AMD user, I just need to know what special drivers I need. 4in1? miniports? I really don't know how to optimize an AMD system and I was hoping someone could help me. I don't want to trash the system or makes things worse.

You should install the AMD AGP mini port driver.As for the VIA 4 in 1 drivers install them but DO NOT INSTALL the Via AGP driver in it.Latest Via 4 in 1 drivers are 4.32 from here,remember just don`t install the Via AGP driver.

You can get the AMD mini-port driver from AMD`S site.
