got alot of questions i hope someone can help me out...

got my parts today: epox 87ha+, amd 1800+ and crucial 256 mb ddr pc2100.

the first thing is, i got an alpha pal8045 heatsink and was wondering what the best way to mount the fan was... flow towards the heatsink or away?

i havent installed an os yet, but while letting it sit idle while i was in the bios, the cpu leveled out at 37/38 C, considering the side panels are off, is this an acceptable temp?

also, i have a 1.53 Ghz cpu and the bios has it default on 1.15 Ghz - 100 Mhz core clock x 11.5 multiplier. im assuming i dont have to touch the multiplier, just up the clock to 133, in order to get the cpu to run at the base clock of 1.53 gigz? Will upping the clock to 133 raise temp to any signifigance?

thanks for any tips

I can answer a few of your questions...Temperature is fine

In Regard to the 133 FSB setting I believe if you refer to the manual there is a jumper that needs to be set on the mobo to eanble the CPU to run @ 133 FSB
