Total after rebates: $800 at Fry's

I just went to Fry's last night and put this thing together for one of my youth group guys for college.
Didn't have time to do any diagnostics...just made sure it boot up with windows, and made sure the drivers were installed. This is my first time putting together a 64 system with an good OC board.
Do you have any suggestions?
Or is there anything that you would have done differently?

The Enermax cases typically come with scrap-quality PowerUp/L&C power supplies, I'd avoid those in anything that I wanted to be reliable (sorry for the bluntness 😱), particularly with a video card that draws enough power to require a pigtail.

Also, I would get WinXP Professional (not sure what you used?) for its longer support at Windows Update (end of 2008, versus 2006 for Home) and VPN/Active Directory capabilities. But I guess hindsight is 20/20 😉

Thanks for the "blutness"...no harm. The PSU that came with the case was an Enermax one. I thought Enermax made quality PSU's, or do they have a lower quality line?

Yeah, XPPro was the Windows version installed...no problems with that. I was mostly concerned with the Ram. I never heard of PQI. It came with heatspreaders, so they "looked" nice.

Thanks for your insight!

You'll definitely want to get a quality PSU before you really start cranking with that mobo. I would pick up at least a 400 watt namebrand (Antec, Enermax, Thermaltake).
