Just sharing. It's "A Daddy Weekend" as I've so aptly named them; one of the "first/third/fifth" weekends that I get my son for the weekend. He's 5 1/2. At the stage where he's not a baby, but not quite "a kid" yet. It's kind of neat. He likes my Playstation (PS 1). About the only one of my games he can kind of figure out is Bushido Blade II. Not much to do; hit X or Circle and swing your weapon. He found Twisted Metal II, but that's too hard for him. Too many controls to manipulate simultaneously. I feel badly telling him "sorry Ben, you're to young for this" or "this one's too hard for you." But it's the truth.

He's a good kid. He's developing (mentally) remarkably well for being subjected to the "Two Parent/Two Household" thing. An unfortunate circumstance, but that's the way it is. Not to get into it, but his mom and I hate each other's guts. We were never married. Benjamin "just happened." I'm not embarassed at all. Stuff happens, you know? But I pay my child support (which is why I have two jobs...you play, you pay) and try to see him on my weekends. Sometimes, I need the money, so I work the whole weekend instead of seeing him. Gotta keep the roof over my head.

It's tax-free weekend here in Texas. Prolly the rest of the US too. I'll go buy him some school-type clothes tomorrow. He started Kindergarten last week. :) He did Pre-K last year, so the learning environment isn't totally foreign to him.

No point to this post...just had a minute to ramble. Thanks for listening. Back to trying to figure out W2K for me. God, this OS is huge!

Never thought of that! All my games are either shooters (Syphon Filter, etc.) or Diabolo-type games. I'll bet I can find one of those used, for cheeeep! Great idea, thanks.

Enjoy your time with him. It seems like only a few weeks ago my son was that age.

He's leaving for college in two weeks, where did the time go?
