It says Rev. 1 between the PCI slots MS-7025 REV. 1

I purchased the same motherboard back in Nov. 2004 and it was the same REV. 1.

I thought that they had released a newer REV. that supported the newer CPU's something to do with the core dont remember. But I wanted the newest revision since within a month my first boards ethernet ports died "both of them," one then a week later the second one and many reported this same problem. Figured a newer revision would be less apt to break down.

I purchased from Newegg. What is the current Rev. of the board?

Remember I am not talking about the bios.

Thinking I got ripped off with an older revision and need to call NewEgg for a replacement since the only reason I bought a new one instead of refurbished was to get the newest revision yet it's the same.

There has not been any new revisions on this board, mainly because MSI sold relatively few number of them. There are no core support problems with any of the socket 939 boards, so there is nothing to fix in that area. Also, it is pretty rare to have two defective boards with the same defect. You might want to check out MSI's official forum for more expert information on this.

I have not installed the second motherboard yet. Who knows if it is defective or not or will end up with the same problem that I do not know. I called MSI tech support 4 months ago about the ethernet port issue and after they said yeah the ports are bad rma it. But instead I popped in a PCI ethernet card for the mean time. Also they do not offer an advanced replacement so I would be without a computer for weeks. That is why I purchased a new one so I wouldnt be down and can just ebay the RMA board when it arrives.
