The 5830 is an odd choice. An overclocked 5770 performs just as well as the 5830. Personally, I'd rather see you go up $60 and put two 5770's in CrossFire for 5870-level performance. Or, just save $80 and get one 5770. 5830's aren't that great a value, IMO.

Why no SSD for a boot drive? No qualms with the rest of the system though.

Overkill PSU.

I would have gone with a 5850 at that point, rather than the 5830.

The ram looks kinda expensive.

Other than that, looks good.

Ok... The 5850 is $325 the 5830 was on sale for $240 dollars.

Is it worth the 85 dollars extra for the 5850? Also whats the best brand of 5850 to buy? is 725mhz the normal clock speed on those?

I might still be able to change to a 5850 as they are waiting to assemble my computer.

Also the power supply was on sale for 90 dollars which is why I bought it (seems like a quality power supply?) Would another power supply be significantly cheaper then 90 dollars for the same quality? Will it be harmful to have to large of a PSU?

Any of the normal brands is fine for a 5850, XFX for example. The 5830 is basically a bastard chip from the days when ATI couldn't make enough 5850s and 5870s; it's really too expensive for what it is. 725Mhz is the normal clock speed

$90 is a good price for a Corsair 750W, but the problem is efficiency. With your system, you're going to be operating a very low efficiency pretty much all of the time, which isn't good for heat and power consumption. It won't blow up or anything, but it's not the optimal config.

Just get the 5850 and you're good to go.

The PSU is fine, especially if you decide to upgrade something down the road.
