i solely purchased this video card mainly because of it being able to OC and somewhat perform on GTX 580 level.... i heard that there might be limitations if i use a newer driver and what not... can somone please explain the best way i can OC the sh*t out of this card 😀 ??

You're comparing a 7850 to a 680? o.o
Of course you'll get more performance out of it, but do you need it? OC'd the 7850 performs brilliantly @ 1080p, BF3 and Crysis 2 running ultra without difficulty.

would it have been better if i brought a GTX680 or would be actually better if i crossfire this card ?

As the other member pointed out 680 is definitely faster card but 7850 is no slouch either. If u are happy about its performance now u can easily buy a second one down the road and xfire them for quite cheap. But probably it will be awhile when 7850 is not sufficient for modern games.

I've got my Asus 7850 running at 1200/1450 like it was nothing to o/c.

Haven't pushed it further since I'm happy where its at. It outperforms a 580/7950 in most things now.

He's asking 1x680 or 2x7850. On paper the dual 7850's would be faster, especially after O/C'ing. Of course there's the dual GPU issues that invariably crop up. I do think though that a single 7850 is sufficient for 1080p. There will always be a few games that you can crank settings up high enough to choke any card, but 1080p with excellent IQ wouldn't be an issue for a 7850.
