Semi-necro, I wanted to know if OP had received the TV yet and what kind of shipping experience he had with Dell.

I just ordered a TV late last week from them and it's not due until early July, which I have no problem with, I'm just interested in hearing about what to expect from the delivery. I've read Dell's TVs typically ship via CEVA which I've seen mixed experiences with.

OP or anyone else care to chime in? Also if anyone could kind of give me a SOP for having a TV delivered, I'd appreciate it as well. Rather not ah heck this up 😀

I ordered a 65" LCD from Dell. It came via Pilot freight. I didn't have any issues/complaints.

What's your viewing distance right now? I'd say about 8' from a 65" TV would be perfect.

I'd have to measure but I'm thinking about 6 or 7' .....only a small adjustment I think is required. I'll measure later.

Isn't it hard to game from that position, or are you trying to play a not-so-nice game of piitb 😛?

If you're only 6-7' back, I could see that as being too close, although some do like being that close. Trying it out from 8-9' back sounds like a good idea, especially since you can just scoot closer if shrinkage occurs.

I'm in the 8' to 9' range and I'd say its just about right. It was closer but my finacee said it was too close.
