Just pre-ordered Fallout: New Vegas

Surely some of you already did too!

Even tho I didn't have any issues, bugs or crashes with Fallout 3 on my PC, I still hope they tweaked their GameBryo engine and maybe give us some more eye candy, more refined textures, overall a little better graphics!

I just want New Vegas to be my next "OMG that's awesome" game!

What do you want to see in Fallout: New Vegas?

I've been meaning to do that, just forget. Not sure if I'm going to get a preorder from Amazon, Bestbuy or Steam. Kinda cheaping out, so may not get the collectors edition.

Pre-ordered here as well. Definitely excited to get this.

Not sure if they still have it, but if you pre-order at BB you get a $10 RZ giftcard. Not a bad deal...

Here is what I'm expecting / hoping for:

- The same engine used in Fallout 3
- All of the items tweaked
- All of the mobs tweaked
- Way better combat
- Way better quests
- Way better dungeons

If it still requires steam to activate, I won't be buying it at all. Too bad I really was looking forward to playing it.

Honestly the graphics don't look much better but graphics never really mattered at all since they were never that good anyways. I hope for more open ended gameplay as that's the only thing I liked about Fallout 3.

I am just glad that SPECIAL will actually be worth a damn now.

You sure about that? If that's true/confirmed, i'd be glad too!
Better dungeons layout and designs would be nice too, more than 4 different dungeons heheh!

I just want to be a Fallout 3 on adrenaline, fun boost, where your skill choices matters and where you can't be an expert at everything.

Can't wait!

Haven't preordered (yet) but will definitely be picking this up. I loved Fallout 3 though I need to finish it still.

Stability.

Fucking this. Fix your bullshit fuck games, Bethesda. Quake 1 and 2 run stable on every computer I have ever tried to play them on, but Fallout 3 fucks up on every computer. The actual game itself is a perfect 10/10 as an adventure game, but the overall score I would give is maybe 1/10 because it's so unplayable.

This makes me laugh everytime. Fallout 3 never crashed on my PC when I used WinXP Pro 32bit and now on Win7 Pro 64bit and on 2 different configs. Lots of folks have had issues with FO3 but lots of folks have had none...

With that said, it sure can end with major problems with F:NV if they use the exact same engine with tweaking it and I can end up with crashed and game breaking bugs.

I doubt I had as many problems as ShawnD1, but it would definitely crash on my machine consistently after playing for an hour or more. I never got nearly as much enjoyment out of Oblivion and Fallout 3 as I did from Morrowind, but lemme know if F:NV is any good after you guys have played it for a while. I might get it sometime later if it gets really good reviews and the price is right.

Fallout 3 still crashes occasionally on my system. Fix is easy though. The INI file just needs a little lovin'. True it's buggy but not nearly as bad as some other games out there, and it can be fixed, unlike a lot of other PC games out there.

I haven't preordered it. No point. I know my local Gamestop will have a ton on day one so there's no need to reserve a copy. Not unless you're getting really good swag like my Mirror's Edge laptop bag.

Ah... but preorder people get a few special items that are cool but not that important, hmmm?

Damn, I think I may just buy it day one. Best Buy usually has a $5-$10 discount if you buy it on release day.
