that game is AWESOME! I first played it when I was about 8 or 9 years old, I didn't get ANY jokes at all 😀 Funniest game EVER!

I played escape from Monkey Island years ago. Pretty good game. Never played any of the others. Another good one is Grim Fandango.

Grim Fandango is one of the top 3 computer games I've ever played for sure.

Lucasarts makes great games like this...or is it made....I can't remember the last time they made a game in this genre.

Other good ones are Full Throttle, The Dig and The Day of the Tentacle

I loved the Dig (I think Martin Sheen was the voice of the main guy) but I didnt like Day of the Tentacle, I prefered the first one "Maniac Mansion". Also, dont forget Sam and Max Hit the Road 🙂

Oh yeah, also one of the best games I've ever played from lucasarts was "Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis"
Loom was pretty good, but a little short.

Lucasarts needs to release a "Classics" DVD with all these games on it.

there is one. it's a compilation CD with Sam & Max Hit The Road, Indiana Jones & The Fate of Atlantis, The Day of The Tentacle (which as you know contains Maniac Mansion), i forgot what else is in there, but none from the Monkey Island series.

Edit: apparently just those three http://www.lucasarts.com/companystore/adventure/

Am playing Full Throttle soon on this P4 rig. Monkey Island 2, Grim Fandango are all top notch. Too bad Lucasarts ain't what it used to be. The latter day titles worth checking out include Schizm and Syberia. Though they have much much less zaniness.

Didn't Lucasarts put out a re-release of the first Monkey Island game with improved graphics? Or am I just imagining things?

Or maybe that was Space Quest?
