Good deal. I had one of these two years ago.. at the time bought it for $229. Great monitor, though I sold it when I moved across the country.

For $191 shipped, I'd say you got a great deal as long as the monitor is in good condition :)

It's new and he's giving me 6 months warranty. I just can't justify spending on LCD now. Also, I am not so sure linux support for LCDs are that great.

Ebay does have some good deals on 19" FD trinitron monitors. The KDS av-195tf is $130+40 shipping.

BTW, I had dual 21" vertically flat trinitrons running before but the size and weight of 21" monitors are too much of a burden. It didn't help that I was getting a tan by sitting in front of them. ;)

Good deal, but the lack of a longer warranty worries me...

...which is exactly why I bought a Compaq P910 (19" Diamondtron) with a 3 year warranty for $170 shipped :D

I've owned a Dell UltraScan P991 for almost 2 years (October 2000) and it's been flawless since the day I received it.

Assuming it arrives in good condition you should receive several years of good use out of it.

Running at 1280x1024@85 with no problems at all.
