I used to work for a big flash drive company, and I'm going to call BS on this. There is NO way with current technology, esp. Samsung chips, that 8GB is in that small of a package.

You = Pwned

You have 64MB (ok, 128MB) flash drives with h4x0r3d drivers/reporting software. It's just overwriting itself.

Enjoy!

don't bother with your 1.1 transfer, use that checkcap.exe file and let it do all the work

Depends on how this hack is done, as it may not be able to reformat this device to the proper capacity.

Copy an 8GB zip file to the drive, then copy it back and then run Actions->Test in Winzip.

Or just calculate the md5 sum and compare.

Kinda odd. I have about 900mbs in there right now.

All documents and pictures. And they all work :confused:

Windows does not write all of the stuff immediatly to the drive. It will buffer it and then write it later, as this gies the illusion of better performance. "Properly" remove the device and then retry it.

That chip is a 16Mx8, or 128M_BIT_, it's 16MByte.

No way 8GB is gonna go on that unless there's a stack of those klooged together an inch high.

Was just reading an article in Maximum PC just now about the Counterfeit Cruizer drives that are out there.
