Just picked up a DS, what're some cheap and good games?

I thought about about the new FFIII DS, but I didn't want to plop down $40 for it. Maybe I'll go pick up the DQ Slime game for $25 at Gamestop.

FFIII is great. well worht the money.

But in reality, Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow or Portrait of Ruin, either one is good as they are basically the same game with added features. Elite Beat Agents is utterly addicting. New Super Mario Bros. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney is great also. If there is a game type you like, the DS pretty much has you covered.

Invest in a Slot 1 device like the M3 Simply DS or R4 Revolution.

FF3 isn't too bad but I haven't played it much at all - I'm finding it to have a somewhat steep learning curve, but perhaps it's because I didn't come from a line of hardcore FF history behind me.


Partners in Time is pretty good.
Also the New Super Mario Brothers on DS is a must have, really must have.

Metroid Prime Pinball - $10 or lower at Toys R Us Clearance bin. great for short subway trips and etc.
Yoshi's Island - this game is MUCH harder than the SNES one! $30
FF3 DS - awesome RPG
FF4/FF5/FF6 (GBA) - don't think, just buy these.
New SMB - ditto
Elite Beat Agent - it's just fun

Don't forget FFIV. Many consider it better than V (and some consider it better than VI).
