Just Picked up a DS Lite...

+ Mario Kart and Metroid. Both are great, and the wifi netplay is awesome.

However, there is a stuck on blue pixel in the upper left area of the bottom screen. The bottom screen also looks sort of 'dirty'.. it's kind of hard to describe but I'm guessing it has something to do with it being a touch screen since the top one isn't like this.
Anyone know Nintendo's policy on dead/stuck pixels? I'm not sure it would be worth it to return anyway since I don't really notice the pixel much unless the screen is black.
Has anyone who currently owns a DS experienced problems like these?

I'm going to be getting one soon. That new Mario Game looks pretty fun, and you can't go wrong with Mario Cart. Plus I'm reading there is a pretty big homebrew community for it.

As for your dead pixel. Did you buy it online or in a store? If it's from a local store I would just return it for a new one.

I got it at Target. If I find out the look of the bottom screen isn't the norm, then I'll definitely return it.

Yep... you can either use friend codes to play with people you know or let it automatically pair you up with three other people. I just got owned by some Korean dude 😛

Nintendo is one of the nicer (or nicest) companies when it comes to RMA's. I picked up one of the last NES edition GBA SP's and I found it had a stuck pixel. I couldn't exchange it at the store since it was the last one so I decided to try Nintendo. They fixed it without giving me any trouble. It's been a while but I think they even gave me a prepaid shipping label.

BTW it is normal for the bottom screen to look slightly different from the top screen.

i have a dead one too.
called nintendo, they can replace it for like $5 and you pay for shippping for your 'defective' one.

you have a 1 yr warranty... try the store and let me know what happens. =P

otherwise, i'll go thru nintendo
