I'll have my certificate/proof of certification within the next 4 weeks or so. I'm so happy that even a two hour sit in barely moving traffic under the beating sun with no AC couldn't kill my mood. :D

This is my first fitness cert I've ever attempted/received, so it's a pretty big deal for me. And the fact that it's ACSM means a lot to me just because of the degree of difficulty (apparently) compared to other cPT certs. I may try and get other certs later such as [Group] Fitness Instructor or the ISSA Child/Adolescent Fitness cert, but for now I just want to focus on training people one on one and get an idea for where I want to be in the industry.

Yes, this is mostly just a brag/gloat thread. No reply necessary, unless you feel like "talking shop" or whatever.

Thanks for your time.

Congrats. I don't know much about ACSM, but it had to be harder than NESTA. None of those certs required more than consciousness to acquire. Ok, not really that bad, but very very easy.

Thanks! Never heard of NESTA. The top 3 are supposedly ACSM, NCSA and ACE (well, ACE is incredibly common, I don't actually know how it compares). ACSM is very clinical in nature. I did best in Physiology, Nutrition and Program Design categories and my worst was like assessment or something. I suck at remembering equations, even simple sh1t like BMI, MET levels and the like, which I think is what that part entailed. Once I start training though I'll have those resources on hand at all times. :p
