My wife has nearly always slept around since we've been married, up until a few years ago when she ballooned to over 200 lbs. She was never discrete about it either, but it never bothered me, though I've been faithful throughout the marriage. I'm just not a jealous person, I guess.

However, on Fiscal infidelity: I have a totally different scenario.
My wife has been saving 1/2 of everything I've made for well over 20 years now. She always said that it was for "our old age". She has never withdrawn any of it, no matter what the circumstances.
Recently, I've been diagnosed with some major health issues, and really need to retire (again). When I tried to talk to her about using "her" money to tide us over until my pension kicks in, she went ballistic!
She now claims that all of that money is rightfully hers, (though she has never worked outside the home to contribute to our income) and that she absolutely will not dip into it for any reason. (The old "community property" deal, 50/50 by marriage.)
She tries to justify this by saying that I have my Union pension, and also a decent 401K & that these are "my" monies. Now I don't mind cashing in the 401K, but she has about 5 times as much as I have in the 401K, and my pension plan has no "cash-out" options whatsoever.

Add that to the fact that last year, she cashed 2 checks without my knowledge that were made out to me & mailed to my home. Forged my name & deposited all the money in her account. (One was >$10,000, the other was for nearly $43,000!)

Needless to say, I have been working with my attorney a lot, gathering all the evidence we can.
Now, if I just live long enough to see any of the money!

Dude, if this is true, the first thing you did wrong was be okay with her sleeping around. If she was doing that, then she has less of an emotional connection with you. It only manifested itself into something you recognized when money came into the issue.

People will delude themselves to believe that sex doesn't create a bond in the brain. Sex releases oxycotin in the brain which establishes a bond between the people. There is more released in a girl's brain (hence they equate sex more to intimacy than guys do, but it happens in guys as well)

It is a biological thing as well as a evolutionary-sociological thing. Yes, some people have learned to set up subconscious emotional barriers when it comes to sex (sex workers, porn stars, averages Joe's and Jane's), but that emotional block affects every other relationship you have to varying degrees. It is a sad state to live in, and I have seen it too many times with too many people to live that way myself.

**EDIT**

HAHAHAHAA LOL ;) My 1000 posts. DANG IT! I was hoping to save this one ;)

Dang it, and I wanted to say something profound on my 10K post! LOL. Well, happy lifer anniversary to me. ;)

3/28/07 - a day that will live in infamy.

**EDIT**

I just looked it up.

Oxycotin is the bonding hormone

Oxycodone is the drug.

LOL

P0wnd again!

Will that up the p0wnage a little?

<semi-serious> I always thought that as a virgin, you should be the last person to be giving woman or relationship advice. </semi-serious>

Congrats on Lifer!

oxycodone is a hormone.

oxycotin is a drug that is highly misused.

Two different entities entirely.

**EDIT**

Oops... did I mix them up? ;) I think I did.

Good thing I am not studying to be a Pharmocologist. ;) My dad would have conniptions though if he knew I mixed those two up. LOL.

I just looked it up.

Oxycodone is the drug.

LOL

P0wnd again!

No, easy mistake to make, because Oxycodone is the active ingredient in the brand name drug "Oxycontin" IIRC.

Youre pwnd TWICE, your 10k is wrong. Its oxytocin that is released during an orgasm (and during breast feeding in women). Oxytocin kind of trickles out for women during an orgasm, but men get a great big 'ol bolus of the stuff during orgasm. However, you are correct that this bonds partners in mammals. To summarize, orgasm in males leads to STRONG bonding, orgasm in females leads to weak bonding at best. Just think about that...
