I don't mean to be rude or anything but why do you post this after you order it? There are hundreds of comments about the hardware alll throughout the forums.

Otherrwise: I would have gotten a Taec floppy 🙂

sorry abouut typing, webtv in hotel :-/

Looks like a pretty sweet setup. I just built a similar setup for a customer of mine. The only thing I would recommend is getting (2) 256MB sticks of RAM instead of the one 512MB stick since. The nForce chipset can take better advantage of the 2 because of dual bank.

Also you could do away with the sound card. The integrated sound on that board is just as good.

In my opinion:

1. You should have just posted JUST the item name. Everyone knows the specs.

2. Should have posted before you purchased. What's the point now?

3. You need manners what's with the rude "just give me your opinion"?

As far as the items you have, I'd have gotten a

1. Western Digital SE HD purchased a 80gig last week from Newegg for 109.00

2. a REAL modem

3. Nothing with the creative labs name on it.....

4. I'd have looked for a bigger Power supply, like 340 or higher.

5. Cooling, I asume you need to get case fan or 2. Plus a better HS for the CPU. I purchased a retail 2200 last week and the HS it came with sucked!

The modem is fine. It's a partial hardware modem (not a full software modem). Why pay the extra $40 for a full hardware modem? Powersupply is more than enough and its a good brand. You'll have no problems with it. The CPU fan is fine also. Since the MB won't allow overclocking why upgrade the HSF?

Why the Maxtor when you could have gotten a WD 8mb 80gb for less?! This is why you ask BEFORE ordering.

IMO....

I agree with the WD SE HDD over the Maxtor HDD.

The power supply is fine don't worry about that, wattage isn't everything just means you can add a lot of HDD, CD-ROMs, etc. to it, just as long as it's a quality power supply.

If no overclocking is planned at all the retail HSF would be fine.

Probably should have left out the Santa Cruz, nForce board has the Dobly Digital on it for the integrated sound.

I agree with LostHiWay on the two sticks of memory so the dual bank can be used.

yeah right after I placed the order I realized I could have gotten the se wd, hes going to do sound recording you dont think the santa cruz is any better then the onboard sound?
