I got mu gf and parents to buy me one of those $7 for $15 groupons for ebay and bought me one of these:

Item Number: 170482971178

Total money spent: $21 :D

I know it's a little late to ask but I figured since it was $21 I could give it a shot. Has anyone bought one? Any good or bad experiences?

I'm planning on picking up a cheap battery powered flash. Any recommendations? I only have my 430 EX right now because my sister is using my 530ex.

If I bought a cheap manual flash I would have that + my 430EX for "on location" stuff but then I could pair them up with my calumet genesis 200's

I should get the kit in a few weeks I'll report back.

not sure about ordering the cheap flash, but the cheap triggers are probably good.

I'm very curious to see what your experience is with this!

not a fan of that design honestly. it's too unstable for me (these look like the old cactus v2s).

cheap manual flash is fine, so long as you know its limits. The yongnuo flashes are well known, but from the sample power output, you get what you pay for. Not to say it's bad cause a 550EX+ isn't cheap, heh. And if you're just messing around, why not?

btw, shoulda sprung for the catus V5 transceivers =)
