Going to either hit up Newegg or MicroCenter later today for an SSD and 8GB of RAM.

I kind of ordered this on a whim, but the reviews seemed pretty positive. Does anyone have any good experience with this line (or the X220)?

i did much the same, but i stepped it up to a 3320m for the hardware virtualization support. I also picked up the 4 year onsite next business day warranty.

thought it kind of funny that it was shipped directly from shanghai china to my door. i haven't gotten a chance to play around with it, but i opened it up and looked at it.. the overall size is awesome.

Just the fact that you got the Centrino Ultimate is a winner. Pick up some 16Gb so-dimms on ebay and ditch the spinner with an ssd and you'll be golden.

I did the exact same thing... going to replace my gf's dying and huge ass laptop..
