Just ordered a NEC LCD1760NX-1. I have a cabling question:

In the product details it comes with a "Dsub to Dsub" cable. I will be hooking the LCD up to my AIW 9800 pro. (and I want to run DVI of course)

My question is to I need to get another cable? A DVI cable? Or will the monitor come with what I need.

I hope the 16ms LCD rocks BTW...

It does not come with a DVI cable. I have this LCD and like it quite a bit. Good luck with it.

Thanks for the reply.

I was a toss up between the NEC and the Dell 1800FP. 1" difference..

At the risk of sounding like an idiot, can you direct me to a good cable? Or maybe the one you use?

I looked around on new egg and people were complaining about poor quality.

I need at least a 6 ft cable.

Thank you very much, I just ordered the cable. I really appreciate your help.

Was it an easy transition from a crt to this LCD? How do you like the LCD, I could find any reviews.

Mine is a 1760NX-BK (black). I'm not sure what a "-1" is. I had a 19" Mitsu 900U NF CRT before the LCD. I like the LCD much better. MUCH easier on the eyes. Text is razor sharp, geometry is perfect. The native res thing takes a bit getting used to. Not a big deal really. I adjusted my font sizes a bit, which was no big deal. Be sure you get theNaviset software to go with it.
