It's not actually mine, it's my dads. Only reason he got it was because there is no payment for 12 months and no interest. It's work related, so that's why it's so powerful.

But yeah, I can't wait to use it! :)

My dad would have just bought a desktop and save alotta money, but he needs to show his work to people, so it'd be MUCH easier to lug around 9-10 lbs, compared to a desktop.

i completely agree, it just sucks that they are so expensive. i paid $2,200 for a 1.2gzh centrino w/ only 640mb of ram and a 40gig 5400rpm drive about a year ago. (i sold it recently) it was sweet though, 2.9lbs and .86" thin.

nice laptop.. he didn't get all of the specs you got (only 512 RAM) but it's a 7000 series with the 17" display.

sweet laptop.

whats the weight?

I think you got ripped off. for $1000 odd you couldve gotten a 6.5LBs 16" 1.5PM with 9700 and 60GB Hdisk. Check Neweggs Acer PCs.

sheeeeeeeeet, kid.

my lappy's closing in on a year old and it's faster than that.

3.2 P4 HT, 1 GB DC-DDR400, 800MHz FSB, 60 GB 7200 RPM 8 MB cache HD, DVD/CD-RW, 54g wireless, 128MB Radeon 9600, dual batteries.

but yours is pretty good, too. ;)

I've just ordered the HP nc4000

The price was ~$1600, $900 cheaper than the IBM X40 over here
