Yea....that's what I was originally going to get. But then I was tipped off that Apple, HP (l2335), and Sony are all supplied by the same manufacturer. Essentially-they're the same monitor in a different package. Anyone who can point to some FACTS that prove/disprove this I would LOVE to see. :)

Anyways, I couldn't justify the price difference for a logo.

I've owned both the HP and Sony, and I liked the Sony much better. The case and stand are much better/solid feeling than the HP. Screens were about the same. The HP had a tilt feature but it was just a novelty for me.

I like the black case/stainless stand of the Sony better than the all brushed case/stand of the Apple. And I don't like overpaying for the same item (the Apple, Sony, and HP are the same panel, as you mentioned).

LG also makes a screen using the same panel (http://www.techspot.com/review...tron2320a/index.shtml), and I think it's the best looking of all. Spendy though.

Great! You're making me feel better. I've been going back and forth on which monitor brand to go with. Thanks!

BTW - Did you play any fast fps's on the monitor? Any ghosting? How about color representation?

I played Far Cry at 1920x1200 using my XTPE and it was fun to look at. But the framerates dropped too much during firefights. Scaling down the resolution on the Sony still looked excellent though; 1680x1050 or 1280x800 looked great and had little to no ghosting.

Congrats! It's sweet looking LCD. Shagga from this forum got one about little over month ago. He posted his impressions on this thread.

Yea...I'm thinking that framerates will be a problem before ghosting is. Guess this will be my motivation to make the jump to SLi--I'll wait a generation or two though.
