Just orderd a Sapphire X800GTO 256Mb DDR3 & Nforce4 M-ATX

This better fix my problem with poor performance with my other board and videocard. Stupid X2 3800+ Turned out to be a downgrade.

My question now is how well does this Videocard overclock and unlock????
Will it outdo my 6800 Ultra once at 16Pipes 500+ 500+ core / mem

Hope you are joking. I believe you bought the wrong GTO. Sapphire GTOs don't unlock, I believe you wanted the Connect3d GTO. Maybe you can cancel or change order?

Nope i cant its fine 12 pipes will still be ok.

The thing is i'm from Australia and i cant find connect 3D cards and i cant even find X800GTO2 cards for sale anywhere ... this was a really good buy. great price and at the moment anything is better then the slideshow i play games at now... maybe in a year or so i'll get a new card ... Geforce 8800GTX ??

thilan29 .. if you had a look at how my X2 3800+ 2GB Cl2.5 6800Ultra runs games you wouldnt say its better.

some of the Sapphire GTO's (non squared) seem to be hellacious overclockers, and give awesome performance even with 12 pipes. I can't remember where I saw a thread about 600+ Mhz Cores being hit on stock cooling.

Can you elaborate further? Because a 6800Ultra will pounce on a GTO. I don't get it?
Were you having motherboard issues? Granted, the 3800X2 is not the best AMD gaming chip in the world, but it's no slouch either. So whats up?


EDIT: Ok, I just read your other thread.

Make sure your power supply is getting enough juice to the vid card. Try a different lead. etc etc.
