Just order new rig. Opinions?

Below are the specs for my new machine. Since I did the whole Gateway deal for the VisionTek GF4 Ti4400, I needed to get a board with video to tide me over while I waited for the new video card. Besides, I've liked what I've heard about the nForce boards, so I thought I'd try them. So, with what's listed below, does anyone see any problems or issues I should watch out for? Since it's all already order, I can't really change the specs, but I wanted to know if anyone saw any obvious problems.

Antec 840 case
MSI K7N420 (nForce) MB
AMD 1800+ CPU
2 - 256MB Crucial DDR2100 RAM
80GB Western Digital HD
Pioneer 106S/2 DVD (what the difference between the 106S and the 106S/2???)
other miscellaneous components (mouse, Arctic Silver 3 paste, floppy drive, etc.)

Okay, so I'm guessing by the lack of responses that my computer was either A) too boring and not noteworthy enough or B) ignored because too many other interesting topics crept up and were the focus yesterday. Since I haven't heard any responses, I'm going to assume that this machine will be a good machine (in the high-mid range category) and I shouldn't expect any problems.

looks like a very good system to me

what kind of heatsink will you be useing?

alpha 8045 i have used and works very well for keeping the 1800+ cool

I've debated using the standard fan/heatsink that come with the retail CPU since I'm not really planning on overclocking (as is evident by the choice of motherboards). Does anyone see this as unwise (the use of the retail parts and not the choice to abstain from overclocking)?

If you don't overclock, the retail hsf will work fine and you get a longer warranty out of it too.
If you do overclock someday(not sure how well the MSI K7N420 or the nForce chip boards overclock), then change to a better hsf and arctic silver then, don't worry about it now.

Should I just use the paste/tape/whatever that comes with the retail CPU to adhere the heatsink and fan, or should I use something else (Artic Silver seems to be highly recommended)?

If you won't be overclocking, then just use the Thermal Pad that comes with the HSF.

You may want to use Arctic Silver if you ever plan on upgrading and keeping the CPU. The stock thremal wax will melt onto the CPU making removal difficult. If you've already started it up, it may be to late.

That all looks good to me. The retail HSF will be fine. You can generally OC with it ok also, but just check for heat when doing so. If it seems to heat up too much, you will need a better HSF.
