On my '98 Escort, I averaged 7,500 miles per year for the 5 years that I owned it. I used it as my commuter vehicle, but also utilized public transportation at various times. For our family vehicle, we average 20,000 miles per year, though.

Heh. Last summer, when I took the bus to to work? Maybe 3000 miles. In the month over break when I was delivering pizzas? Probably 2000 miles. Add in a round trip to school of 1500 miles, and in the last 9 months, maybe 6500 miles.
