...has AT been excruciatingly slow for the past 48+ hours now?

Pages have been taking 30+ seconds to load with no identifiable reason(adserver issues). Other websites working normally.

I've been getting weird issues too. Long waits for adservers but, if I stop the page load and refresh it comes up instantly.

Just re-enabled AdBlock for AT, problem solved. So it appears to be an Ad Server issue again.
