Just me or does football on FOX HD look grainy

On wide angle shots the picture just looks very grainy. Zoomed in shots on the players however are clear and looks great. When I watch football on CBS and NBC the picture is fantastic all around (wide and zoom). Its sharp and clear with no grainy-ness.

I know CBS and NBC are 1080i while FOX is 720p but when I compare 1080p to 720p movies I can barely tell the difference so I'm pretty sure it's not my tv. Is this just an issue with FOX?

Pretty sure its an issue with Fox. I have Sunday ticket and have noticed the same thing. All the games on Fox don't look anywhere near the games on CBS, NBC, or even ESPN for that matter.

I've noticed that before too. I have to be pretty close to the screen to really see it, but there definitely is grain in the picture that isn't evident on other channels during football. Not sure what the deal is there.

i always thought abc was the best looking...fox the worst.

Fox is 720p, also this is normal depending on how they setup their cameras.

The Bears/Falcons game yesterday was terrible. The Green Bay/Seattle was quite a bit better. I've noticed some of their games earlier in the season were pretty bad too.

CBS definitely has better picture quality.
