Just making sure

Hey, I just wanted to make sure of something here. I plan on buying a Radeon LE here in a few days to replace my GeForce2 MX since it doesn't seem to want to cooperate completely with my VIA KT133 chipset. I've heard it all about the LE including oc'ing it and turning on Hyper-Z to make it as fast as a regular Radeon. WILL this work and also WILL it cooperate with my chipset? I don't want to buy it then run into problems. I'll be ordering it from Essencom for $97 including the FedEx 2 Day Air shipping. Also, I want to know if it is going to be absolutely faster than my MX. I just want to find these things out and get the facts in stone before I screw myself over on something. Thanks!

I have a kt133 (tyan 2390) and the le runs great. $97 seems a bit steep though - I got mine from newegg for $83 shipped. it arrived in 2 or 3 days.

Well, my dad doesn't like buying off of the net. Otherwise I would get it from there. Essencom was the cheapest place I could find that does phone orders. If anyone can find a place that does phone orders and sells it cheaper than $97 with shipping I would really appreciate it! :)

There's always no guarantee about compatibility. Some people have problems with Radeons on probably all chipsets. I have a Radeon with a KT133a and there's no problems here.

Speed, if you do the hack (not necessarily overclock even), it'll be faster than your MX in 32 bit Win98.

Hey, I was just wondering if the LE's came in a SDRam flavor also. I am ordering from CDRExpress for a total of $96 with next day air shipping. They have it advertised as SDRam, but I am thinking that it is DDR. Can someone help me with this? I am just curious because everywhere that sells the LE's says that it is with DDR and also I don't want the slower SDR memory.
