Because they will be competing with ATI which also sells video cards. That's the only reason I can think of.

Meanwhile, ATI reduces their 3 year to a 1 year warranty and expect board partners to be the ones to offer more. Whatever. I think we should lookout for HIS cards for the highest warrantied o/c on a ATI card. They usually offered the highest clocked ATI cards with there own cooling.
I consider this a good thing as I have personally be burned from nVidia OEM overclocks. You think when an OEM overclocks a video card they test every one as thoroughly as nVidia tested the reference model at stock speeds to make sure it runs fine?This is my biggest problem with ATi's partners. They dont overclock a lot. Most of NV's partners offer an overclocked card.
