Just loaded CM7 RC3...

Installed RC3 yesterday on my Incredible. Was running RC2. Only issue I have is that RC3 does not have the toggle to turn on "Turn over to silence", which I really miss when getting a call and need to silence the ringtone....

Got everything working, but WiMax is broken. worked on a previous install of cm7. Strange.

Wow the battery life on my Droid 1 with UD 1 went from freaking fantastic to wtf pathetic. In 4 hours it went from 90 to 60 and I haven't used it more than 3 minutes, I have 3g & Bluetooth turned off. CM's forums need some a sticky thread on how to pump up at the battery life. With UD I could go all day and lose maybe 30% of my battery, at this rate I'll have no battery left by the end of the day.

I'm guessing, I wiped my device and did not restore any of my data just a few apps. It's possible one has problems with 2.3.3. I noticed on CM's forums a few people were complaining about poor battery life. I don't really know what app to use to see what the culprit is. This is the 1st rom I've installed that gave me any battery issues.

Well, I've noticed about a 30% improvement in battery life since switching from stock to CM7 RC3.

It works for most, I'm one of the unlucky ones. However it's a known issue, and it won't go final until WiMax is fixed.

The Sense widgets don't work with CM7 right? I'm getting an EVO this week and love their music player one.

Sense widgets won't even work if you switch launchers.
Maybe Sense based ROM's might have HTC widgets enabled. But I don't know.
As an EVO owner, I love it. But why not wait for the successor?

Because somebody I do work for is buying me one, it's not a general offer of he'll get me a cell phone when one I like comes out. The EVO is damn sweet and for free I can't pass it up. I guess I'll stay with stock Sense so I can use the music and the text message widgets they got.

Some people have GPS issues with the experimental builds of CM.. CM7 won't go "final" until they've fixed the GPS (and others like HDMI) issues permanently.

My GPS works flawlessly in my Incredible under RC3. Haven't used HDMI, so I cannot comment on that.....

Yup, I didn't have a problem with GPS either with my Evo. HDMI doesn't work yet, though.

I'm sure the GPS issues have everything to do with different hardware revisions. My Evo's HW revision is 0004.

I've rooted/installed CM7 on an EVO for a friend and it definitely was an improvement. Both my friend and my brother who both have EVO's have been happy with the increased battery life.

Yeah, I'm running the latest CM nightly on my Evo and love it.

I think they are pretty close. Nightlie release 36 users are reporting a good success rate of squashing the bugs.

I'm reading the CM forums and I'm seeing a lot of 4G complaints...not sure if I want to risk it.
