Just letting off a little steam

Hi,

I lent a couple of games to a friend of a friend like two years ago, and just got them back recently. Guess what, some of them is missing the manual, the game itself or either scratched up really bad.

GOD D**N IT, WHY CAN'T IT BE RETURNED IN IT'S ORIGINAL CONDITION? WHAT IS SO HARD ABOUT IT? STUPID IDIOTS. (sorry for the caps).

This happened to me a couple of times, but I just can't seem to say NO when someone wants to borrow something. There be a little hesitation, but evenutally I would give in. Don't know what is wrong with me.

For me, I am really careful with other people's property and take real good care of it. I just wish it was the same for my stuff.

Right now, I am very upset, angry and frustrated. 🙁 :| :brokenheart:

Anyway, anyone had the same problem like this and what did you do?

Thanks for listening.

Unless you really trust a friend, expect that something you let he/she borrow will be damaged when, and if, it gets back to you.

Just say "no". If they are assholes and keep bugging you about it, you now have a reason, since they destroyed your games. Never be too liberal with lending people things, you'll very often get taken advantage of.

I have a policy when lending things to people... "You break it, you bought it." Basically, if it's not returned in the condition it was in when it was lent, the person will pay me enough to replace it.

I agree. Why should YOU have to be stuck with sh!tty stuff when you didnt mess it up in the first place? I would demand the money. Oh and a little advice.....when you let someone borrow your sh!t, don't let them keep it for 2 years this time okay?
