Just joined UD - The fight against cancer.......dual CPU question

Question, I have a dual CPU system, and I noticed that UD is only utilizing ~50% of my CPU's. Both are being used, not just 100% of one. Is there a way to maximize CPU utilization?

BTW, I'm running WinXP Pro and I have 2 x Athlon MP 2000+'s

The "Processes" tab in "Windows Task Mananger" will only show 50% for each of the UD processes. In the "Performance" tab you'll see 100% utilization though. 😀

Acually, I was looking at the Performance tab....hmmm...

I just burned some CD's while UD was running, and now I'm getting 100% utilization on one CPU and 0% on the other.....weird.

Do you have 2 instances of UD running? (in different directories?) I don't remember if UD can utilize both CPUs without having 2 installs😱

Can anyone tell us if UD will run on both CPUs or do we need 2 installs? I'm probably going to put UD over the top of SETI on my duallys, so I'll need to know too😛

Let's say that I need two instances of UD running.....will I need to login's as well?

I'm thinking you would use the same login for the 2nd one, but then again I've only had the client running for a few days. I wanted to make sure it played nice with SETI on my XP1600 before I put in on a bunch more machines.

Any UD gurus?

You use the same login, but you probably have to give it another name to identify it by.

Is this at some sort of computer lab? School? Office? Or do you just have alot of computers?

I'm helping out computer resources at a library. They have some old comps now, so I thought UD would be the best since it counts the time. They're gonna add about 150 P4's for library staff. Gotta get SETI on them. :Q😀
