Just joined, need ideas

Welcome!! I'm sure you'll find plenty of quality opinions and advice here. I would agree with the video card, but first the specs on the power suplply on that system would be helpful to determine if even a new one is needed to support a new video card. Otherwise are you pretty happy with the system? Looks like a nice unit for the price.

Well i wanna start using it for gaming, and the power supply it comes with is 300w
(let me get a little more info. on that)

I'm not sure what you are looking to spend on a video card.

This is assuming you get the PSU that ribbon linked to.
I think this is a steal for $135 - $30MIR

However, for $174 - $15 MIR, you'd be better off with this

There are better cards of course, but again, I don't know your budget.

Edit: While you're at it, install some case fans if you don't currently have them.

Yes, in fact since you're tight for money you would be more than able to use a 400W fortron, i wouldn't run SLI on it but it would be more than capable of running any non SLI gaming PC. Real world power draw is a lot less than you'd think.

all - does the hp m/b use standard psu wiring and not like that dell sh@t from a couple years ago???

op - if you can swing the 7800GT that is the current sweet spot for gpus

Fan

Including the 3 pin tail for $0.75.

I don't use any 120mm fan's, so I don't know what models are popular. I'm sure someone else can point you to a better fan, but panaflo's in general are considered

Edit: It's funny that you picked a 7800GT since you don't game 😛
I realize the reason is that you are getting it so that you will have a card in 3 years that will still be a "good" card.

Panaflo are great fans, if you want quiet then Nexus are hard to beat, but bloody expensive. Yate loons are also top notch and akasa are good and still rather cheap.
