I just formatted, reinstalled xp, and installed my new radeon x800. I mainly play WoW and here's what Im getting...

- Standing facing a wall and not moving: 55+fps
- Once I start moving facing the wall and looking around slightly it quickly drops to <45fps
- The SECOND I turn around and look outside in the open it drops to 15fps...

On my 9800pro I would get about 30fps inside and about 20+ outside depending on how much action.

Could someone help me out?

My setup:
Amd Athlon64 3000+
Asus K8n-E Deluxe
2gb Kingston pc2700
Ati Radeon x800 AIW
Creative Audigy ZS 2 Platinum
2 maxtor satas

Im running the newest Omega drivers.

Thank you

I uninstalled the Omega drivers and went with the new catalyst drivers. Didnt make a difference....

My friend is over who has an x800, same ram and cpu. In the game we're looking at the same area in-game and he's getting 50fps while im getting 25... his in-game video settings are set higher than mine!

A friend at work said I could have conflicting devices or something like that.

I could really use some help.. this card was expensive. ]

EDIT: I forgot to mention I got a score of 5257 on 3dmark05

I'd also guess that the chipset drivers have not been installed. While you're at it update your BIOS too.

I've done both.

Is it possible I'm having hardware conflicts?

What X800 is it ??? ^_^ GTO/ GT / XT ??

I see its AGP!
Go into Bios & try setting fast write on ..... Try Turning it off if its on already!

Use way older drivers .. 5.8 maybe from www.guru3d.com

Also, check the quality settings in the game and drivers and make sure you're not doing something silly like forcing 6xAA and 16xAF...

The X800 (vanilla) isn't a monster card by any means, but it should be faster than a 9800Pro.

I'd also make doubly sure you've removed and reinstalled the graphics drivers, chipset drivers, and DX9.0c. Use Driver Cleaner to make sure the video and chipset drivers are gone. And if possible, test in some standard benchmarking apps (like 3DMark03/05, Aquamark, etc.) to see if your overall performance seems OK.
