This may be an easy one for everyone but can I disable the "Welcome" screen that comes up right before my desktop?
ANy other good tips/tweaks for a new user of XP?

Go to "Start>Settings>User Accounts>Change the way users log on or off" and uncheck the "Use Welcome Screen" box.
