i have a soundblaster pci64, there are no 2k drivers. a friend has the SB live and he is also having problems with 2k and games, so lets just take SB off the list now. i will be using the card for gaming, mp3 and DVD play.
i have been looking at the hercules muse XL and the hercules Fortissimo II, since i can get them from compusa 10 minutes away.
both card are suppose to support 2000, however i have not seen any reviews on these cards.

is anyone using the above cards with 2000, if not what $50-$70 card is working well on 2000 with UT, CS and quake?

thanks

uh the sb64 works fine in win2k. you need to install ensoniq audio pci drivers first, and then use the update from creative labs ' site. some people cant get the live to work if they have that oem one the ct4830. the drivers dont work with it, and you have to find other drivers. anyways, save your money and just install the ensoniq drivers first like i said
