I do not see the 2nd sata drive under the bios or under my computer. Where do I get the drivers to enable this? I checked out MSI's website and could not find anything.
Thanks

If it's not visible in BIOS you sure won't see it in Windows, so a driver isn't going to help you out. Was the second drive visible in BIOS prior to a clean installation of 8, or was 7 previously installed and you could view the second drive that way?...

go to computer management > disk management and assign a drive letter. I had same problem upon install of new secondary hard drive.

So it looks like all the SATA ports are on the same controller. Have you tried other ports for the hard drive? Can you tell if it's spinning when you have the computer turned on? Have you looked to see if there is a newer BIOS for your board?

everything was updated on the mobo, HD was spinning. I reinstalled WIN 7 and my drive is there again. Not sure why it isnt visible under Win 8. Ill stick with Win 7, like it better than Win 8 anyways.

Welcome to the world of Win8/SecureBoot/missing drive. 🙂

My guess at least. I recently did a uEFI install of Win8.1 and enabled secure boot. My second SSD with Win7 on it vanished in both Win8 and the uEFI. Disable secure boot and the drive magically appears.

Still debating on Win8.1 currently. Cold turkey approach this time! Thinking it's not as bad as my 1st impression of the OS.

Current downside is the stupid watermark on my desktop that shows build number and SecureBoot isn't configured correctly....Ughh! Debating on non uEFI install with dual boot to Win7 or just sticking with 8.1 only and enabling SecureBoot.
