It's been Microsoft all the way for me, except this one year in college where I had a linux box for coding. All I remember it was a pain to install.

With all the new security holes in XP, decided I should go back to linux. Installing redhat 9 was a breeze, even setting it up for dual booting.

Couple of questions, any way to configure KDE so that when you double click on the upper left corner of a window it closes it? (like windows)
Also what media player to use? XMMS, VLC?
And linux doesn't support widescreen resolutions does it? namely 1920x1200 for radeon mobility 9000 chipsets.

Check ATI's site for linux drivers and/or check red hat's x configuration app.

I wouldn't see why it wouldn't, you can use multiple monitors which gives strange resolutions, but I don't have a wide monitor to test on.

So you use KDE? Is it much better than GNOME? I used to use gnome because it had lower system requirements, not sure what I wan't to use now. Any suggestions?

Ximian Desktop 2 -- has a very nice and clean gnome theme, eh. I wonder if I can get ahold of that for my gnome 2.2 desktop.
