Just installed new CPU... Occasional random errors in XP...

I just installed a new Athlon XP 2700+ on my 8RDA+ and once I reset the CMOS I was good to go. However, once Windows XP had booted I would get the occasional error, especially with IE, Outlook, and even with Explorer. The mobo reports no errors, and I'm thinking I might need to reformat and reinstall.

Thoughts?

try memtest to check for bad memory. If it works for about 24hours then I'd reinstall XP and see what happens. Maybe it's noticing a new CPU instruction set that can be used and is having issues using it.
