Well, my shipment of fun little cooling supplies arrived on Wednesday, and I finally got around to hooking up the heatsink today. I'm running open case until I get enough time to open the necessary holes to mount my 120mm intake/exhaust fans, but I'm confident the design of the cooling system will be sufficient.
Here's a couple shots of the system, to give you an idea.
Front of case Heatsink-Fan Interior of system
What I've got is one of the 92mm YS-Tech fans pushing 66 CFM of air through the SLK-800. Scary cool. Currently, Motherboard monitor is detecting a system temp of 35 degrees C, CPU surface of 32 degrees C, and CPU core of 39 to 41 degrees C. That's at full load, 100% CPU utilization thanks to the Dnetc cracker.
I'm gonna give overclocking a shot this weekend. I'll probably post any more updates in the CPU/OC section.
