just installed MCE and getting tons of errors

this is a brand new install of XP-MCE - i went dual core and decided to try MCE while I was at it.

i'm having this happen alot when I try to open Firefox 2.0 and also while trying to load a saved game in oblivion.

the errors all contain an *appcompat.txt file. The app i'm in crashes immediately to desktop.

any ideas?

my set up:
AMD AM2 3800+ dual core
2GB Corsair RAM
250Gb SATA - partitioned 10Gb for OS, 10 Gb for OS Backup, 230 Gb for data/games etc..
300Gb SATA hdd - data only
550W Enermax PSU

Is the BIOS set for Dual Core operation ? ?
Perhaps some application can not use dual core yet.

My initial guess is a hardware or driver issue, but here's some info on reading that appcompat.txt file (which should provide you with some better troubleshooting information).

thanks.. i'll take a look...

hopefully it's a BIOS thing.. another problem I ran into is that anytime I try to burn even a data DVD, my WHOLE system shuts down - not just crashing to desktop.
