Well, I just joined the crowd and installed Mandrake 7.2. The install was very uneventful - that is until I booted into Windows 98... An error pops up stating "No SCSI host adapter found" when Adaptec/Plextor Manager strart up :(
"My Computer" shows NO CD-ROM and no ZIP drive!!!
In the System->Device Manager, under Hard Disk controllers, the Secondary Bus Master IDE Controller displays "!", like it was malfunctioning. When I reload the driver for it, though, the device starts working properly and my CD-ROM reappears (but still no ZIP drive). The bad part is that when I reboot my system, the problem comes back!!!

Any idea why this is happening???

Here is some (useful?) info about my system:

Primary Master - 30GB Maxtor (w/ 4 partitions)
Primary Slave - 20GB Maxtor (w/ 2 partitions, 1 of which is occupied by Linux)
Secondary Master - Plextor 12x10x32 CDRW
Secondary Slave - ZIP drive

When I installed Linux, I opted for the "recommended" install (since this was my first one, I didn't know what to expect), therefore GRUB bootloader was installed on my system (something I wanted to avoid).
