I dont know what I"m doing wrong. I have two email accounts set up. One from my old dial up connection, and one for my @home email account. I can receive mail from my dial up account, but not from my @home account. I get this message:

"The host 'mail' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly. Account: 'gundam83', Server: 'mail', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D"

It was working fine before i installed the router. I'm probally missing some settings or something to allow emails to come through?

Had to reply once I saw your username 😀

When you get on a router, you need to change your mail server name to the FQDN, or fully qualified domain name of the proper mail server for your area. You can try to get this from tech support, although it might make them suspicious. Better to not tell them you installed a router, or they'll tell you to take it out.

Tell them you're getting flaky mail delivery and/or reception, and that you had a friend who had the same problem in a different service area, but that tech support gave him a long gibberish-looking name for the e-mail server and it fixed it completely.

Yeah, I know, it might make you sound a bit n00b, but if they hear you say FQDN, they'll know you know more than they do, and they'll pull up in their shells like turtles. 😉
