I see that under the config options, it has an option to disable F@H when running on battery. How well does that feature work? (Does it work at all?)

Edit: It downloaded the "b4" core, says the WU has like 500,000 steps to it.

Edit: After running it for a few minutes, smells like something faintly burning. I changed the max CPU percentage slider to the middle (50%?)

I got that log, and "BAD_WORK_UNIT" on the ProtoMol core (b4), on my laptop last night. I left the library (which has WiFi), and went home (which has no internet). I was running F@H, and I started to fiddle with the WiFi, since it could sporadically detect a protected network. I also change the configuration from 50% CPU time to 80% CPU time. Don't know what I did that borked the WU, but it died. Since I had no internet connection, it choked trying to upload the results and download a new WU. I don't know if F@H is going to work well on this laptop.

Btw, to shut down F@H, I have just been shutting down windows with it running. Should I be quitting out of the app instead first?

It appears to have re-started the same WU, and this time it has gotten past that point in terms of progress, so I dunno why it borked the first time.

I was hesitant to install it on my laptop.. Make sure to monitor your temperatures. Some laptops run way hot even when idle
