Just installed Detonator Drivers and now my computer is doing something weird on start-up........

Hey all,

I just updated my Detonator drivers from ver. 6.31 to 6.50 for my Geforce 2 MX. Everything installed smoothly however, when I start up my computer and get to my desktop in Windows 98 (right after my icons pop up) my screen flashes for a second. Kinda like when you change your refresh rate or resolution. It's really no big deal, it just does it after everything loads and then everything seems normal. It really bugs me though because my machine never did that before. Anybody have any thoughts.

Are you using any of the nVidia options from your control panel on your desktop(color calibration, coolbits etc)? I have been seeing that as long as I can remember(the flicker when I get to the desktop) as I always am using color correction settings and loading them when I boot(very noitceable on my system, everythings washed out at default until the screen "flickers" then it's all good).

Yes I am using the Coolbits registry edit for oc'ing. I'm not using any of the color calibration tools though. Oh well, if your computer has been doing that since you can remember then I quess there is nothing wrong. Thanks Ben.
