Just installed Abit BE6-2 the hard drive is used took it from my other system, it's Maxtor 13gig 7500rpm UDMA66. when i boot it is see
Detecting IDE........... NONE
So i go into bios, try to detect it there but it says none.
I have my HD connected to teh IDE3(white one).
Tried IDE4 but still same. I was going to try IDE1 but the UDMA66 cable will not fit.
I have CD rom connect to IDE1.
Even though, the windows boots up and works fine.
It just that when I start up my computer, i get that no IDE msg then I get blue(sky blue) screen which says Highpoint something something... it trys to detect my harddrive and it does detect it.
Did i miss something during the installation of mother board?

Hard drives connected to IDE3 and IDE4 are not detected by the system BIOS.

Instead, they are detected and configured automatically by the highpoint controller. Rest assured, that if your computer boots, all is well.
