Just installed a Shuttle AK32VN mobo. Can't figure out how to bypass F1 to continue prompt on startup

I just installed this motherboard and every time I go to boot the machine, it hangs on a prompt to either hit delete to go into setup or hit F1 to continue. How can I get the system to bypass this and stop making me hit the F1 key at this point in order to boot the system?

TIA,

And it's not saying what in particular it's unhappy about? Floppy Drive Fail, or Case Intrusion Detected, or whatnot? I guess you could just go into the BIOS and tell it not to halt on any errors and see what happens then, but usually there's some underlying cause like a floppy drive with a reversed cable or a missing Chassis Intrusion jumper.

Yeah.. It's looking for a floppy drive, but I don't have a floppy drive installed. I don't even have the floppy in the boot order. How can I shut this off?

A couple of ideas:

  • Go into the BIOS and on the Main menu, you'll probably see Halt on. Set it to No Errors or else All, But Floppy
  • or, disable the floppy controller altogether in the Integrated Peripherals menu, that might work too.

It seems like this would be the best option. For me, I've done this in the past to get beyond the "F1" issue.

That was it. Thanks! I changed it to all, but floppy and it boots fine now. I've only built a few systems so far and none of the boards had this feature in the BIOS.

Thanks again.
