OK, I am a total Linux newbie.... I've installed Redhat in the past, but removed it quickly because of video card issues..
I've just insatlled Mandrake 8 (posting from it now...woohoo).
My home network consists of aDSL, Linksys Router, 2 win2k pro machines, and now this 1 linux box. Obviosly I am getting an internet connection, but I cannot see the other 2 machines on the LAN, I get the message "cpould not connect to host localhost" when I try to click on "network" in the home folder (I'm using KDE desktop).
Any idea's... I'm sure I've overlooked someting simple, but I'm using DHCP so I figured it would all be automatic...
