Just how secure are online credit card payments?

I just bought a yamaha 4 wheeler through the yamaha credit card. I set up my online account yesterday so I could go online today and make my first payment (after I got paid).
Anyway, I logged into what I thought was my account and saw something pretty strange. It was my name and email address but the last 4 digits of the account were not mine. What really caught my eye was that the total account balance way waaaaaaay lower than mine. I also saw where there was recent transactions, etc.

made me kinda think of how not secure this could really be.
I did take a screen shot of it and then logged out and back in again. This time it was all my info. Probably no use in emailing them to let them know what happened.

 
Since you're going to use their site to make payments, maybe you'd better let them know something went wrong. Send them the screenshot. If they don't get complaints, they aren't going to know they have to fix something.
